College & Career Access Team (CATS) Program

The College & Career Access Team (CATS) is a collaboration of various individuals leading programs designed to help guide and support students on their journey through high school and into their postsecondary plans (university, community college, workforce, etc.). The CATS team is in charge of the following programs on campus:

  • OUSD College and Career Readiness Specialist Program (CCRS)
  • UC Berkeley Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
  • UC Berkeley Destination College Advising Corps. (DCAC)
  • UC Berkeley Pre-College TRIO Program
  • East Bay Solano County Consortium (EBSCC)

UC Berkeley’s Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC) and Early Academic Outreach
Program (EAOP)

DCAC/EAOP is committed to increasing access to higher education for underserved students and families, which can include those who are low-income, first-generation going to college, or underrepresented minority students. 

DCAC/EAOP provides cohort academic advising and course planning; college and financial aid information and application assistance; scholarship application assistance; and cohort workshops and events. 

They also coordinate Pre-College Academy and free summer courses at UC Berkeley. Learn more at dcac.berkeley.edu and eaop.berkeley.edu. In addition to working with their cohort, the DCAC/EAOP advisers support Skyline High School with school-wide and family events, college and financial aid information presentations, and CCC drop-in hours.

UC Berkeley Pre-College TRIO, Educational Talent Search (ETS)

The UC Berkeley Pre-College TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) aims to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities in progressing through the academic pipeline from middle school to post-baccalaureate programs. 

ETS provides college advising, financial aid assistance, college application assistance, local and Southern California college tours, summer opportunities, and many more. Learn more about TRiO Educational Talent Search.

Skyline High School’s Financial Aid Directory

Skyline’s Financial Aid Directory is a resource for students and families to learn more about scholarships and financial aid. This list is being updated regularly with new scholarship opportunities.
