The students in ASB work to raise school spirit in events held during lunch and after school. They also work to raise student involvement in community service projects. Become an ASB member and vote on what happens on campus!

The Black Student Union’s purposes are

• to increase awareness and appreciation for African American issues, history, and culture among the student body
• to increase involvement in the life of the high school for African American students
• to create a greater awareness of and access to post-secondary options for African American students 
• to encourage individuals to be a positive force on the campus while striving for social and academic excellence

buildOn’s service learning programs engage students in challenging urban areas and show them the limitless power they can achieve through community action. In each of these programs, youth contribute intensive local service – helping the homeless, seniors and children in their communities – to confront urban struggles with passion and optimism.

Getting involved in buildOn Service Club is a great way to meet friends interested in serving their community. Additionally, many colleges look for community service hours from their applicants. 

Sponsored by Mr. Nichols, this club enjoys writing short stories and sharing them with the club.

Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a group for students who want to talk about sexual orientation and gender identity. 

The Interact Club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps the school or community and one that promotes international understanding. The club meets at least twice a month and is sponsored by the local Rotary club. Interact Club helps students:

• connect with community leaders
• develop leadership skills
• make international connections
• discover more opportunities to connect with Rotary, including Rotaract, RYLA, and Youth Exchange

Jewish Student Union takes pride in Jewish heritage and tradition!

Student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels. Key Club is sponsored by Kiwanis International.

Although it comprises all genres of "popular music" within South Korea, the term is more often used in a narrower sense to describe a modern form of South Korean pop music covering: dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock, metal, hip-hop music and R&B.

La Raza is a civil rights movement that tries to procure equal rights under the law for Hispanic Americans. This club works to educate students about Latino cultures and to try and eradicate discrimination.

La Raza Unida Club meets every Tuesday at lunch in room 56.

For anyone interested in riding the trails of Oakland. The Skyline Mountain Bike Club/Team is for girls and boys at all levels of mountain biking. Bikes and most equipment can be borrowed from the club. The club begins practices in December, and then begins three practices per week starting in January. Competitive races begin in March and run through May.

Young Life Club is a comfortable place for students to come together to discuss and explore belief in Jesus Christ.
